King
of Paradise
By Kay
Layton Sisk
King
of Paradise is a great example of a light-hearted, almost fairy-tale,
type of romance story. It introduces Wyndha O'Brien who has taken
on the job of taking care of her two nieces and nephew. She decides
to go to Colorado and have them choose the upcoming adventures for
two weeks. Little does she know that once she and her family have
met their neighbors in the hotel, the children plan on including
them in their plans. Enter, Rudy, also known as Rudolph deMarco,
a soon-to-be king of a small European country.
The mystery surrounding Rudy and the
other two men who travel with him adds to the interest of the reader
and shows that this is not just another romance novel. The romance
moves quickly between Rudy and Wyndha but the reader should enjoy
it. The story could have taken place at any vacation resort and
the adventures could fit into that vacation resort. The characterizations
of all the characters, including the children are focused and on
point.
