Healing Magick
By Mary Taffs

Sulis, a Healer, has been through enough turmoil to last a lifetime. Llyr, a Mage, has scars on his heart and soul that will never seem to heal. When they are assigned to heal a Bedrock that was apparently destroyed by an evil Mage, they are attracted to one another. However, this attraction leads to complications and heartbreak when Sulis’ past with evil starts to manifest within her and Llyr’s past will not let him see a clear course. Only perfect love can save them and the Bedrock that they have vowed to protect with their lives and allow them to defeat the evil that threatens not only them, but also their entire world.

Healing Magick is the third book of the Magick series and gives a new look at the world of magick. The author combines the usage of modern life with a sub world of myth and magick to compose a tale of wonder and excitement. The author gives vivid accounts of this sub world that work below the familiar world outside of the Magick realm of existence. The story has a wonderful plot combined with just enough danger to the characters. The characters are believable; however, some reactions to scenarios are forced and do not seem to follow the characters initial descriptions.

Unless the reader is familiar with the entire series, there are parts that are complicated to follow. The author did explain most variants within the book so the reader could follow the story, but many questions are left unanswered by the reader.
