Hot Stuff
By Elaine Fox
Most
of Journalist Laurel Kane’s life has been spent searching
for "Mr. Right". Unfortunately, her Knight in Shining
Armor has not found her and whisked her away to his faraway castle.
Her editor assigns her to do a special Valentine Day feature on
a book called "Love is not the Answer". After she reads
it, she is more convinced than ever that love past thirty is a fleeting
impossibility.
Joe Squire
owns a successful coffee business. He is scouting out the next location
to build a coffee establishment and decides to sell coffee outside
the Washington DC Dupont Circle to see if there is enough interest
to warrant his idea. He is intrigued when he overhears Laurel and
a friend talk about the injustice of ever finding true and everlasting
love. He finds himself enjoying matching wits with her over the
subject. Will he be able to convince her true love can be found
at any age and even with an "Average Joe"?
Cross
out Laurel Kane’s name and pencil in Suzie Housley and you
have my life in a nutshell. I found myself connecting with Laurel
because we share so many similar traits and thoughts. Like the heroine,
I am in search of my own "Mr. Right". This upbeat hit
comedy will put a smile on your face and leave you rooting for the
couple to finally come together. Laugh out loud humor is dealt out
in generous proportions as the plot twists wrap their way around
your heart.
