Imperial Engineer
By Judith B. Glad

Lulu King is a tuff activist for woman's rights. She is very opinionated and not afraid to speak her mind. Her beliefs give her powerful friends and ruthless enemies. She arrives in Hailey, Idaho to fight for her cause because she knows there is so much more at stake. Running into her teenage love in the train station, she realizes her heart is at stake as well.

Tony Dewitt is in Hailey as an engineer installing the telephone service. He leaves behind a past and is determined to make a fresh start. When he sees Lulu, it brings back the heartache of a love that was never fulfilled. The Anti-Chinese rebellion is a growing problem in the Idaho town and Tony knows it's only a matter of time before the past catches up and haunts him.

The Imperial Engineer is book VII in the Behind the Range series. A very strong and emotional story about two people facing any odds to make a better life for themselves and those around them. This was my first book to read by Judith Glad. I was very impressed, and will be sure to read the first book in the series. An excellent read. This book comes highly recommended.
