The Improper Wife
By Diane Perkins

Showing up at the rooms of a man she thinks is her husband, Maggie goes into labor, delivering a healthy baby boy. However, she soon learns that while these rooms belong to a Captain John Grayson, this man is not her husband. Maggie has been tricked; the man she thought was her husband is not.

Captain John Grayson is amazed at what has just happened. He thinks Maggie is just trying to find someone to take care of her. He does not believe her tale of being married to someone with his name, though Gray feels a little responsible for Maggie and the baby, so he asks his cousin for help.

Gray returns after two years in the Army only to find that Maggie has been sent to his family home, with everyone believing that she is truly his wife and that the baby is his son. Now he must face his family and Maggie and find what secrets are really going on, and get to the truth as to why he has a wife. Although the love scenes are few, it is easy to tell that gray and Maggie are falling in love.

Ms. Perkins has written a truly unforgettable story in The Improper Wife. This is truly a magnificent tale of secrets, lies and love that will keep you totally engrossed from cover to cover.
