Kill the Competition
By Stephanie Bond

Kill The Competition introduces readers to Belinda, a newcomer to the Atlanta area, after a failed six-hour marriage. She enters a new job, where things do not go as planned. She develops friendly relationships with the other three women in her carpool and soon learns that their relationships could be detrimental to her life. She catches the eye of "Officer Goodbody" after getting into a car accident with her carpool and the local traffic advisor. Will Belinda be able to be promoted at her job when people start dying, and what will she do with the men in her life?

Ms. Bond does a fantastic job in incorporating romance and suspense in Kill The Competition. The suspense is not one that is predictable, and leaves the reader to want to know whodunit. The characterizations of the carpool women were great. It gave the reader an in-depth look at each character—in particular, Belinda—and her thoughts of what was going on with her life. The romance of Belinda and both men was interesting and had the reader wanting Belinda to be happy with whomever she chose.
