Legendary
Warrior
By Donna Fletcher
Reena
seeks the aid of a legendary warrior to save her village. Her childhood
memories were filled with tales of the man called simply “The
Legend,” but nothing prepares her for the man she finds beneath
the warrior helmet. Magnus’ handsome looks, muscular physique
and kind heart draw her to him like the moon draws the tides. When
he accepts her offer to become his mapmaker in exchange for his
protection for family and friends, she is grateful, but soon she
realizes that gratitude is only one of the emotions he invokes in
her.
Magnus’ reputation as
the legend has grown since its origin. Deeds--both horrendous and
noble--have been lauded and laid at his feet. He has learned to
live with the untruths and the fear the title renders in all he
comes in contact with. When the petite and courageous Reena stands
toe-to-toe with him without a drop of fear in her beautiful blue
eyes, Magnus is mesmerized and then seduced by her innocence and
the faith she displays that he will protect her from all harm.
Their
time together is treasured as Reena maps his home and surrounding
land; their hearts begin to beat as one as they realize that love
means caring more for another than for yourself. Ms. Fletcher has
penned a novel that is excellent, touching, and rates high on this
reviewer’s ladder. Her characters are fantastic; the subplot
between Thomas and Brigid could and would stand alone as love blossoms
between two who have been hurt and betrayed. The conflict, blending
past and present, is well done and totally enthralling. One of the
most compelling books I have read in a long time. Ms. Fletcher,
