High Heels and Homicide
A Maggie Kelly book

by Kasey Michaels

When Maggie Kelly travels to England to watch the filming of an adaptation of one of her novels, she never expects to encounter a real life mystery. She is still dealing with the jarring fact that two of her novel's characters have stepped from her imagination into her life.

Viscount St Just (aka Alex Blakely) and his assistant Sterling Balder are now real people. Together they travel to an old English manor to watch the filming of their lives. When a torrential rainstorm wipes out the power and telephone lines, the area around the manor floods, leaving the cast and crew stranded inside the old house. The discomfort intensifies when someone steals everyone's cell phones and turns into fear when someone is murdered. Another murder soon follows, leaving everyone pointing fingers at each other. Alex is determined to discover who the killer is and keep Maggie from harm.

High Heels and Homicide is a lighthearted and fun romp. Although the story stretches on a little long, the interaction between the characters is brilliant. Kasey Michael's spoof of some typical pompous Hollywood types is hilarious.
