The
Lipstick Diaries
By
Lori Soard
Once
upon a time, three young girls met and wrote in their diaries. They
signed their entries with different colored lipsticks and dreamed
of growing up to find their perfect mates. Sixteen years later,
their illusions are in ashes, but the flame of friendship still
burns bright.
A
wedding invitation sends New Orleans tour guide Kate Tyler back
to her roots in Indiana to stop her sister's wedding. The groom
is nothing more than a liar and a cheat. Kate should know; she dated
Mark in high school. Along for the ride are her best friends. Sarah
is there to support Kate in her quest and to think about her future.
Rebecca is there to guide Kate, but she has some serious problems
of her own.
When
her sister rejects Kate's pleads to postpone the wedding, Kate proposes
a challenge. If Kate can find a man that passes all their Grannie's
tests on finding the perfect husband, then Jen must agree to listen
to reason. There begins a riotous few days as all three friends
participate in the quest.
Lori
Soard strikes gold once again with The Lipstick Diaries, a book
that every woman should have on her reading shelf. It is a novel
that is filled with past memories, the present, and a glimpse of
the future. A charming and delightful read that will stay in a readers
mind long after they turn the last page.

NOTE:
Although
some readers would classify this as Chick Lit, I found that
romance did indeed live in the pages of Ms. Soard's latest
novel. I found The Lipstick Diaries to be every bit at good
as a previous read, Housebreaking A Husband.
