Night Secrets

By S.A. Martin

Princess Keriam has a secret, one that could get her killed if discovered. Though magic has been outlawed in the kingdom of Emain Macha, her spiritual night dreams lead her soul to a plot of murder, a crime that would put her father's royal domain in peril.

At the root of the revolt is Major Roric Gamal, her father's courier. Keriam devises a plan to meet and hopefully trap the deceitful major, but finds she is falling into an attraction that won't go away. His vow that he is spying on the ringleader of the plot might be true, but can she trust her father's life to her wishful heart?

Roric is fascinated by and infatuated with the royal princess. He will do anything to earn her trust. He knows he could never own her heart. Keriam is above him, and he tries his best to remember his place, but Roric's resolve fails when they share a kiss and she turns to him to save her father.

Keriam and Roric fight a battle against evil, deadly magic and greed on their path of love. Ms. Martin's fantasy is well written but a tad violent in places. She weaves a plot that mingles with a witch's spells, a shape shifter's evil and a battalion of ghostly warriors. The love her hero and heroine share is sweet and scorching.
