Out of the Night

by Robin T. Popp

Lanie Weber spends her time working as a librarian and volunteer firefighter. Both of her occupations keep her highly engaged in helping people in need. Her world is suddenly turned upside down when she learns her father has met with an untimely death at the lab he works for in the Amazon rain forest. Her uncle hires a private charter plane to take her to retrieve her father's body. The pilot and guide is Michael "Mac" Knight.

Retired Navy Seal Mac Knight has made it his business to uncover what has been occurring at the zoological research facility. With Lanie's father being a well known scientist, he sees this as the perfect opportunity to get an up close and personal look inside the compound. When they arrive they discover five corpses that are all drained of blood. Lanie opens a cage and a mysterious creature attacks and bites Mac. With his life hanging in jeopardy, Lanie rushes to give him a blood transfusion.

Evil is lurking in the shadows. . . It is awaiting its next victim

"Outstanding paranormal" are just a few words that will describe this wonderful book. It has all the elements that readers are begging to read - danger, intrigue, and the supernatural. This author's writing has made a dramatic impact that I won't soon forget. I feel her voice is one that will carry her straight to the top.
