Twilight
Whispers
By
Barbara Delinsky
Nothing could have surprised the prominent Whyte and Warren families more than learning of the suicide/murder of Mark and Deborah Warren Whyte.
Even more surprised
is Katia Morell, daughter of the Warren's family housekeeper, Cassie.
Although she was the housekeeper's daughter, she was raised right
along with both the Whyte and Warren children. The death of Mark
and Deborah is just like losing a brother and sister. Although seeing
one of the Whyte's sons brings more than just sisterly feelings,
Katia has been in love with Jordan Whyte since she was a teenager.
Moreover, although he seems attracted to her, she cannot figure
out why he pulls back each time they start getting close. With an
ongoing investigation of the deaths, Katia will have plenty of opportunities
to find out if Jordon really cares or not.
Bob Cavanaugh is investigating
the deaths, and though he has his own grievances against the two
families, Bob will do all he can to find out the truth, even if
the culprit turns out to be another family member.
Jordon Whyte is also determined
to find the truth of what happened to his brother and sister-in-law.
Mark's and seeing Katia, starts him thinking of his own mortality
and the woman he is afraid to love. But first, he must find the
truth of Katia's parents.
This family saga begins with Jack
Whyte and Gil Warren, who are best friends and just starting out
building their businesses. They marry two women who are best friends,
Natalie and Lenore, respectively. Although the romance between Jordan
and Katia is part of the main story along with finding the murderer,
this book holds plenty of interest in the other lives of these two
families.
In my opinion this
was one very interesting book. I was unable to put it down.
