Reese Gilmore has come a long way in trying to put her life back together after the horror that ended her glamorous life
as a renowned chef in Boston. These days, Reese’s life is traveling from one place to another as she tries to get back
to where she can at least function on her own without her grandmother's help. Landing in Angel Fist, Wyoming may end up
being just what the doctor ordered as she finds herself working in the local diner as a cook. Sure, it’s not a five
star restaurant, but at least she is in the kitchen again.
Reese believes her life is finally getting on track, that is, until she is out hiking and sees a man murder a woman.
The only person who believes her is the town’s mystery writer Brody.
Brody cannot help but be drawn to the lovely Reese, although he knows she has problems. When the rest of the town starts
believing she is just a hysterical woman Brody believes she did see something. When strange things start happening inside
Reese’s apartment, he starts believing more strongly that someone is trying to prove she is just crazy. Brody will do
all he can to keep Reese safe, as long as she knows he is not the kind of man to make a commitment. Even though he is
soon feeling as if he cannot live without her.
Angels Fall is another superbly written book by Nora Roberts. I found myself unable to put the book down
once I started. Each character has their own unique personality, from the hero and heroine to the secondary characters
that play a big part in bringing this story to life, making readers feel as if they are "seeing" the story unfold.
As with all of Ms. Roberts’s books, this is another for the keeper shelf to be read and enjoyed repeatedly.
