Elly St. Clair has always felt that she was a disappointment to her family. Coming from a long line of well established
Ghost-Hunters, she finds her psychic abilities fall short of her legendary ancestors. To compensate for her lack of
powers, she lives her life as a Botanist working at the local University in Aurora Springs. There, her world takes a
turn for the better when she meets Guild Leader Cooper Boone. Cooper is a well-known Ghost-Hunter. His skills are ones
that have made their mark in the Ghost Hunter world.
A whirlwind courtship takes Elly by storm. Soon Cooper has waltzed his way into her life and captured her heart.
His kind and gentle presence provides the rock of stability she has been searching for her entire life. When he proposes,
she joyfully accepts and begins to make plans for their future together. All her plans come crashing to a halt when
she learns of a secret Cooper has been holding from her. It seems that he and her father had planned the marriage.
The union would form a strong bond that would unite two families. Disgusted at how they both deceived her, she breaks
off the engagement and moves far away to Candence City.
Six months have passed and Elly has made a new life for herself that involves running an herbal business. Her life
is once again uprooted when her friend Bertha goes missing. She knows her only chance to find her friend is to involve
the best, Cooper Boone. Asking for Cooper’s help is one of the hardest things she has had to do, but she knows her friend’s
life depends on it. Together, the two of them are about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
Jayne Castle has long been one of my favorite authors. With each story that she writes, her special touch enhances
each page. Paranormal fans will rejoice at what she has put together in Ghost Hunter. This book is one that
offers a wealth of intrigue, mystery, and all out sexual chemistry. Those are trademark elements of a great author.
Very highly recommended.
