Good
Girls Don't
by Kelley St. John
What do you do when, after many years, you meet your old best friend from high school and
you find yourself so attracted to him that your "...uterus does a happy dance" whenever
you're with him? Colette Campbell finds herself in just this predicament in Good Girls
Don't and to make matters worse it's her job to lie to him. She hopes that she will
not lose him when he finds out the truth. Colette "Lettie" Campbell runs a company called
"My Alibi" which provides plausible lies for people willing to pay the fee in order to
cheat on their loved ones. Amy, Colette's sister, asks for a favor for her friend Erika;
provide an alibi so that Erika can go off with her boyfriend without her uncle knowing.
Colette receives the surprise of her life when she finds out that the "uncle" is her best
friend from high school, Bill Brannon. Bill and Colette rekindle their friendship and
much more; love certainly crackles in the air whenever they are together. Colette wants
to fess up and tell Bill the truth, but she has agreed to wait until Erika returns from
her romantic tryst. She fears that Bill will hate her when he finds out her role in the lies.
Good Girls Don't is a very entertaining contemporary romance novel. The secondary
characters are quirky and add color to the plotline. Colette's sister Amy, who invents
sex toys and believes that they can replace a man -until she meets Landon Brooks, nearly
"steals the show." Good Girls Don't is a sexy and fun read that I highly recommend. |
