Red Hat Society's Acting Their Age

by Regina Hale Sutherland

Those zany fun loving Red Hatters are at it once again! This lively group never disappoints in any of the offerings they present to our doors. They remind us that life really does begin when a person hits their 50th birthday. A heartwarming offering can be found in these stories written for those who find themselves in the red hatter's golden age bracket. This one of a kind romance will be a welcome addition to any devoted fan's library.

Mia MacAfee and her best friends Luanne and Aggie run The Brewed Awakening coffee shop in Muddy Creek, Texas. It's a place where its down home appeal overflows with heaping portions of love and good old fashioned hospitality. It is a place that is helping Mia help cope with the death of her husband. Through her friends' love and support she is slowly taking one day at a time to help heal her sense of loss.

One morning Mia and Leanne find someone unexpected in their storage. Rachel is a teenager who has run away from an abusive foster home. They know if they report her to Sheriff Cade Sloan she will be forced to go back to that awful place she ran away from. Rachel brings a sparkle to each of their lives. Especially Mia's, who is talked into accepting a date with Sheriff Sloan. How will the good Sheriff react when he learns of the trio's deceit?

Regina Hale Sutherland should be commended for writing such a memorable story. Readers will quickly adopt each character into their heart, for each offer a wealth of emotional joy. I was highly impressed with how the story quickly took hold of my emotions and kept me glued to my seat. I look forward to what is next in the Red Hatters' quest for living life to the fullest.
