Silver Azuli
The Chorillan Cycle, Book Five

by Michelle Lelvigne

Lucas Aiden, Lieutenant Governor of Chorillan, struggles to protect the new colonial government from its foes, a radical group of Gen'gineers and the disposed Council, headed by Kallin Riallon. He has two goals: to adopt an orphaned Wilding, Dini, and marry his childhood sweetheart, Kay'li.

Kay'li Fieran is a liaison between the Wilding Scout Corps and the Colony of Chorillan. She has already had one attempt on her life, and knows that her disposed uncle, Kallin Riallon, will stop at nothing to prevent her and her new husband, Lucas, from having an offspring.

When Lucas discovers that his wife is pregnant, he departs with Kay'li and his adopted daughter, Dini, for a Wilding outpost, hoping to keep them safe until Kay'li has delivered their child. When their shuttle begins to malfunction, he hides Kay'li and Dini in safety then returns to the shuttle, only to watch the enemy blow up their transportation. Lucas knows all too well that Kallin has powerful supporters and equipment and will stop at nothing to destroy them. Determined to protect his family, he leads them on their journey toward the Wilding outpost, accompanied by several Azuli, animals who establish psychic bonds with the people they adopt. Urged ever onward by the Azuli after discovering the outpost is deserted, Lucas, Kay'li, and Dini head for the Canyon where the Wildings now reside.

But will their powerful enemies find them before they reach the canyon and safety?

Set against the backdrop of love and prejudice, Silver Azuli is a fast-paced and suspenseful sci-fi romance that will keep you turning the pages. I look forward to reading more novels by this wonderful author.
