Stupid and Contagious

by Caprice Crane

Heaven Albright has a new neighbor. One who she suspects must be mentally retarded. Why else would he be up all night shouting "hello"?

Brady Gilbert has just moved next door to the world's grumpiest woman. One who spends the night shouting "shut up!" through the wall. He was just enjoying the echos of his voice in his empty apartment. Sheesh! What's her problem?

As Heaven and Brady get to know each other, they discover that they are more alike than they are different. When they are not fighting like cats and dogs, they really enjoy spending time together.

In college, Heaven double-majored in economics and political science. She accepts a fabulous job offer from a PR firm with lots of big-name entertainment accounts. Her boss messes up a book signing for Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. Heaven steps in and saves the day. Her reward? She's fired. Now instead of being a PR wunderkind she's a waitress, and a rather poor one at that. It's just a matter of time before she gets fired from that job as well.

Brady owns a struggling record label but in his heart of hearts he is an inventor. His big idea du jour is Cinnamilk - cinnamon flavored milk. Brady is determined to sell this idea to the founder of Starbucks.

Unable to reach the man by telephone, Brady heads for Seattle to pitch it to him in person. Having no job, Heaven tags along. Now the fun really begins.

This is a great book with many laugh-out-loud moments. It is written in a he-said/she-said style. I look forward to reading more books by this talented new author.
