Trust Me

by Heather Reilly

Agent Sonya Mitchell, along with a team of highly skilled agents and their operations controller, Lawrence Low, are determined to fight a criminal group known as the AFM. The AFM’s political dealings were previously waylaid by the team’s investigation. As a result, Sonya gained her new team’s respect.

However, the AFM refuses to stand still. They’re at it again, this time resorting to jewel thefts and the kidnapping of a wealthy rancher’s son to support their criminal activities.

In order to set a new trap for the AFM, Lawrence asks Sonya to become a double-agent. He has falsified information that will allow Sonya to be blackmailed by the AFM’s new leader, Archer Chapman - a man who bears a grudge against Sonya. The last thing Sonya wants is to betray her team, most of all Dave Knight, the agent assigned to protect her and one for whom she has a strong attraction. But she realizes she has no choice, thus the trap is set, and Archer swallows the bait.

While the rest of the team investigates the jewelry thefts, Dave and Sonya work with Lawrence Low to solve the kidnapping. Their proof that the AFM is behind the kidnapping comes when Archer insists that Sonya deliver the ransom money alone. Though the kidnapped victim is returned safely to his parents and the AFM has the ransom money, Archer still wants his revenge, and this time around, Sonya’s life is put on the line.

I loved Miss Reilly’s Double Deception and was thrilled to read the sequel, the continuing story of an Australian government organization’s fight against the AFM. Trust Me is an exciting romantic suspense, filled with fast-paced action and ever-growing suspense. Heather Reilly’s ability to develop fully believable characters and a tense, page turning plot, definitely makes Heather Reilly an author romantic suspense readers will love.
