The Vampire Who Loved Me

by Teresa Medeiros

At the age of seventeen Portia Cabot saved the life of Vampire Julian Kane. In gratitude for her unselfish actions, he bestows a kiss that left a sizzling imprint that is forever engraved in her mind. Julian thought he was unworthy of the love Portia was so freely giving for he was without a soul. He knows until he is once again whole, he cannot expand upon his feelings for Portia. He decides he will make the sacrifice to leave Portia’s side to go in search of his inner being. He is convinced once he finds what he seeks, he can return to his beloved.

Five years have passed since Portia has seen Julian. Although the years have kept them separated, the memories they shared still burn bright in her heart. In London, Portia is overjoyed to be reunited with Julian, but their union is not a happy one for the years have taken their toll on him. Unable to locate his soul, he drowned his sorrows in drink. His lifeless eyes speak volumes about a man who has given up on living.

A serial killer is terrorizing the town and all clues to the killer's identity lead to Julian. Even his brother Adrian is convinced his sibling is guilty. Portia refuses to believe the accusations that her true love could have so low as to become a cold blooded killer. To prove his innocence, she offers herself as a human sacrifice, unaware of the danger she has placed herself in . . .

With each book that Teresa Medeiros writes I grow more in love with her artistic talent. In her hands, words become true works of art; each one is unique in its own form. Portia and Julian are so expertly researched and presented you feel these memorable characters have made their way into your own life. This book will quickly take you by storm, for it skyrockets to out of this world height. Very highly recommended.
