Whispers

by Erin Grady

Gracie Beck left Diablo Springs years before, vowing never to come back. Then one night she gets a call that her grandmother has died and on top of that, her daughter has been in a car accident near the old springs in Diablo Springs. Gracie knows that there are many strange things in Diablo but all she wants to do is take care of what she has to and take her daughter and leave. After all, what is there in Diablo Springs for her but bad memories, a haunted hotel and a family curse that goes back to her great-grandmother.

Reilly Alexander is in need of a new idea for his book, when he is approached by Chloe LaMonte. She begins speaking about his hometown Diablo Springs and the people there. She tells Reilly that he is needed there. Reilly left Diablo Springs years before, there was nothing but bad memories there, but now with his brother gone and feeling that he is at a loose end he decides to take Chloe up on her suggestion. Never expecting that he would see Gracie again, after all she had left years before.

Now that everyone is in town, they begin seeing the death lights and strange things begin happening inside the hotel. Everyone has always said Diablo Springs was nothing but a ghost town. Gracie and Reilly will have to find what is going on, as they both get closure with each other. Something neither one of them thought would ever happen after what Reilly's brother did to Gracie years before.

Thrilling, sensual, scary and breathtaking all rolled into one is what readers will find when they read Whispers. I found this book to be wonderfully entertaining and jam-packed with danger and suspense. Erin Grady is truly a magnificent writer who can tell a tale that will have readers eager to turn the pages.
