White Lightning Road
by Harry Gilleland
I received the book, White Lightning Road, on a Thursday for review and started reading it on Friday during
lunch. I found the book to be compelling and one that I didn't want to put down. It kept me guessing throughout.
A very quick read, direct and to the point, with just enough background information to tell the story, yet not too
overwhelmingly detailed and cluttered.
Sally returns to the home of her parents after her divorce and Jennifer returns to clean out and sell her
parents’ home after both of them pass away within months of one another. While caring for the estate of her
parents, she runs into a stranger who she finds to be both offensive and a bit mysterious. As Jennifer’s story
unfolds, this stranger becomes an integral part of her existence. White Lightning Road, the place both
Sally and Jennifer couldn't get away from fast enough in their youth, turns out to be the one place they will both
call home in their adulthood.
This is a book that I would recommend as one that you ‘just have to read’! |
