Aidan’s Chance

by Judi Lynne

Lynne’s first foray into historical romance is a definite winner. Her characters, including secondary ones, are strong-willed, and make Aidan’s Chance sing with intrigue, romance, and an awesome ending.

Kaitlin should have listened to her father, but instead she finds she’s up to her eyebrows in Scottish lairds who think just because she was trespassing unbeknownst on their land, they can dictate her every action. A prisoner she may be, but she will not allow tall, dark, and dreamy Aidan to think he can push her around. She takes her punishment like the English lady she is but can’t help but fall in love with the wee bairn she must see to before she is allowed to go home.

Aidan is fit to be tied. His brother, who is older and laird of their deceased father’s lands, commands him to allow a Sassenach wench into his household to take care of his small daughter. Not only is the woman an enemy of the Scots, her father murdered his. But for the life of him, Aidan can’t help but warm up to the beautiful vixen as she turns his barren castle into a home once more. His lust for her seductive curves quickly grows into love for her heart of gold.

Lynne could have ended this historical tale right there with the emotional and external conflict already penned, but she takes readers on a path of intrigue, suspense, and past betrayals when she brings in a character dubbed the Dark Knight. A villain who is despicable and evil. Aidan’s Chance is a historical that is ripe with sensual passion and will capture readers’ attention with the accurate details of life in medieval Scotland, as well as a love that transcends hatred and greed.
