Arousing Suspicions

by Marianne Stillings

Arousing Suspicions is an enjoyable romance novel mixed with suspense. A fast-paced, entertaining story. Marianne Stillings is a magnificent author with a wonderful sense of humor that's reflected in her writing.

Tabitha March is a psychic dream interpreter. Not all clients are happy to have their dreams interpreted accurately. When Tabitha interprets Mr. Figueroa's dream, right on the mark, he's not happy about it. Fearing that Tabitha may tell others about his infidelities, he files a complaint against her claiming she offers more "personal" services on the side.

Inspector Nate Darling of the San Francisco Police Department has been assigned to investigate the complaint lodged against Tabitha. Using the alias "Nathan Damon", Nate makes an appointment with the psychic dream interpreter. The charges prove to be unfounded and the complaint closed out.

When Tabitha goes to the Police Station with probable information on a homicide, it's Detective Darling who walks into the interview room. Nate doesn't believe for a second that Tabitha is psychic. So when she has details of a murder never released to the public, Nate thinks she's the killer. He also thinks she's hot. Tabitha is furious with Nate for deceiving her, and snooping into personal aspects of her life. But at the same time she finds him irresistible.

In Nate's presence Tabitha does a lot of ummm'ing and uhhh'ing, and with each word she speaks, she becomes more beautiful to Nate.
