A Dangerous Beauty
First release in a Merry Widows series

by Sophia Nash

Lady Rosamunde, the daughter of the Earl of Twenlyne, is determined to win Lord Henry Sumnerís affections. One day while riding horses they race, and she asks for his kiss as a prize, only to learn that Henry loves another.

The Duke of Helston arrives at Twenlyne the following day, furious. Rosamunde and Henry were seen in a compromising position and must marry. Despite her fatherís fury and the Dukeís demands, Rosamunde refuses. Instead, she marries a country squire, Alfred Baird, in a marriage of convenience. Rosamunde flees with him to Scotland, and is soon joined by Sylvia, Rosamundeís younger sister. After a torturous eight-year marriage, Rosamunde finds herself a widow.

Lucifer (Luc) St. Aubyn, the eighth Duke of Helson, returns to his family home after his fatherís and brotherís deaths. There to attend the upcoming wedding of his younger sister, Luc learns that his grandmother Ata has formed the Widows Club society meant to help deserving ladies find a happier future. Informed that she has invited several widows to their home, Luc is determined to avoid the ladies at any cost.

When Rosamunde receives an invitation to stay with the Dowager Dutchess of Helson, she quickly accepts. The dowagerís invitation provides her with a place to live -and hide- in peace. Though Luc does his best to avoid the widows, he soon becomes intrigued by Rosamunde.

When he learns of his fatherís ill treatment of Rosamunde, and why she refused to marry Henry, Luc is determined to restore her rightful place in society. Lucís kindness touches Rosamunde, but she learns that he has a few secrets of his own. The man many call Lord Fire & Ice is not at all who he seems.

A Dangerous Beauty is a wonderful, engrossing love story, full of passion, engaging characters and a heartwarming tale of redemption. Sophia Nash has a marvelous ability to bring her characters to life, instilling them with deep emotion and delightful touches of humor. A Dangerous Beauty will remain nestled in your heart long after the last page is read -a real keeper. I can't wait for Ms. Nashís next installment in this wonderful series.
