Darkest Dreams

by Jennifer St. Giles

The guilty one is not he who commits the sin, but the one who causes the darkness.
- Victor Hugo

Andromeda Andrews has always had the unique ability to see other people’s thoughts with a touch of her hand. She has kept this unique skill secret, because she didn’t want people to consider her different. She travels to Dartmoor’s End to visit her sister who recently wed the dashing Sean Killdaren. There she meets Sean’s twin brother Alexander. Wanting to get to know Alex better, she accepts a position cataloging the Killdaren antiques.

Dragon’s Cove is full of secrets and danger. A Druid ritual is being performed that sacrifices innocent women. Andromeda senses that her life is in grave jeopardy. With her ability to see other’s thoughts, she is disturbed by what she finds hidden deep inside Alex’s mind. Can she set aside her fears to allow love an opportunity to bloom? Or will trusting Alex cost her more than her heart?

Jennifer St. Giles is the queen of historical fiction. Her talent has revived the long lost Gothic romance. She has truly outdone herself in this second offering, the sequel to Midnight Secrets. Once again she has provided the kind of time-honored Gothic we all remember but that are so hard to find these days. This is definitely the perfect 10. Very highly recommended.
