Foolish Notions

by Aris Whittier

Foolish Notions by Aris Whittier is a page-turner about a misunderstanding between James and Samantha that wasted a lot of time between the two people in lieu of a romantic rendezvous of love and romance. I found this book to be a romance in every sense of the word. I was enthralled about the care that James had for his mother who was going through a very serious illness.

James also had problems with his company and someone stealing from it, which was a major issue he had to deal with. The fact that he also loved Samantha, but couldn’t tell her the truth about what she thought she saw, ended their relationship.

Samantha went on with her life as a nurse, but she never stopped thinking about James. Marie, James’ mother, had other ideas, and she wanted Samantha as her nurse while she was going through a major crisis in her life.

This brought James and Samantha back together again as they lived in the same house, and tried fighting the chemistry, attraction, sparks, and admiration for each other. Samantha was determined to be strong because of James’ deceit.

This novel was well-written, and detailed, and I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t put down the book, having been so engaged from page to page. I enjoyed the utter romance with James and Samantha.

This is definitely a five-star book, and Ms. Whittier wins with me. I am in the midst of checking out more of her books. I also like some of the humor in the book, and the other issues that were a major focus, also. A charismatic story until the very end!
