Gideon
Book 2 of the Nightwalkers Series
by Jacquelyn Frank
Although Gideon’s story begins with a lot of narrative, Frank blends together a tale of lovers that not only
encompasses the hero and heroine but other life-mates of the Demon culture. I have not read the first book in
the series, but will be putting it, along with the third and fourth book, on my to-be-read list. Magdelegna and
Gideon’s love story is one of poignancy, passionate sex and emotions that leap off the page.
Gideon is the oldest demon left; his life has been filled with seeing that his race survives and treating
patients. He’s never thought about a mate for himself, but when he probes Magdelegna’s mind and body to ascertain
her health, the feelings he has hidden from even himself spring forth. She is meant to be his; he must find a way
to convince her of this fact, and to make right the wrong he did her almost a decade before.
Magdelegna has always respected Gideon’s rank as one of the oldest Nightwalkers, as well as his expertise as
a medic, but she resents his intrusion into her body and mind. Soon she discovers what he already knows, they
are Imprinted - life-mates for eternity. Her love for the handsome medic grows when he saves her
friend after she is attacked. And when their culture is threatened once again by war, Magdelegna helps Gideon
fight his inner demons as well as betrayal from within their race.
The culmination of their love is tried time and again but Magdelegna as well as Gideon discover love without
one another would make life not worth living. |
