Just Wicked Enough

by Lorraine Heath

Michael Tremayne, Marquess of Falconride, had always prided himself on being fair of face. Now penniless, he finds he must use his good looks and solid title to bring him the finances his lifestyle requires. He devises a clever plan to auction himself to wealthy businessmen who have single daughters. The plan is almost foolproof until he meets the highest bidder’s daughter, Katherine Rose.

Katherine "Kate" Rose has always believed in true and everlasting love. To settle for anything less would be unheard of to her romantic heart. Her mother had made it no secret that she wished for her children to wed into nobility. She was very firm in this belief and made it clear that Katherine and her sister would have very little choice in selecting their mates. Kate felt this first hand when her mother disapproved of the love of her life; she discarded him and sent him on his way. Jilted, he felt he had no choice but to find another to marry. The day Kate learned of his marriage was the day her heart broke in two. Now she finds herself betrothed to a man she barely knows.

Deep down, Kate’s heart refuses to accept a marriage of convenience without getting something in return. Her strong will and determination will not bend until her new husband proves he is a man worthy of her love. Will he succeed in wooing his intended? Or will he forfeit the chance on love to find a simpler solution to his problem?

Lorraine Heath has always been one of my most beloved authors. It is a true honor to have been selected to review her newest title. Just Wicked Enough radiates the true magic that makes Heath one of the leading historical authors of all time. Kate and Michael’s story has a familiar Taming of the Shrew undertone. It’s a true delight to see them battle each other to get their own way. Just Wicked Enough has just the right spice to make it an award winning title. Very highly recommended.
