My Wicked Pirate

by Rona Sharon

It has been three years since Alanis has seen her fiancé. She is scheduled to be wed to Viscount Silverlake, Lucas Hunter. Lucas’s absence has her taking matters into her own hands. Against the advice of her Grandfather she sets sail to find Lucas in Jamaica. While at sea her ship is attacked by pirates. She learns that their leader is the sinister ‘Eros’ known across the seas as "The Viper".

Eros has his own reasons why he attacked Alanis ship. For her intended has managed to capture his sister Jasmine and is holding her prisoner. By having Alanis he can use her as a bargaining chip to get his sister returned. He never thought the days spent with Alanis would have him falling under her spell. Her mesmerizing azure eyes manage to penetrate deep into his hardened heart. When the day arrives for the trade to be made, he finds that he is experiencing feelings of sadness for he will miss her being a part of his days.

When Silverlake and Eros meet face to face, the intense emotion is easy to distinguish. The two find themselves facing off between a narrow plank that connects the two ships together. Silverlake made a worthy opponent for Eros, but he was no match for the quickness of a pirate. Within seconds of claiming his life, Eros is stopped by the pleas of his sister’s voice. Her declaration of love for Silverlake distracts him enough to offer his opponent an open opportunity to plunge his knife in his side.

Eros manages to survive the attack but finds himself recuperating at Lucas’s home. He is pleased to find Alanis by his side when he first awakes. Through her eyes, he sees how torn his sister’s statement has made her feel. Lucas has sworn that he will hang for his crimes. But Eros plans to escape the hangman’s noose. Before he sails off to sea, he makes an offer for Alanis to join him to see the world. Will she risk her future and reputation for a once in a life time opportunity at adventure?

Bravo Rona Sharon!!! Your book has brought back fond memories of historical romances that I use to love and cherish. Your writing style is so perfectly executed that as a reader I found myself getting wrapped up in the drama. Your beautifully written words breathed life into a well developed plot. This is one of the best historical romances that I have read in a VERY long time. You have earned a devoted fan. Very highly recommended.
