What can be better than one Navy Seal traveling back in time? Try five. Ms. Hill has done it again in her latest
time-travel. Rough and Ready is enchanting with emotions, charming with humor and hot with sensual love
scenes. Bravo and Hoo-Yah!
Lt. Torolf Magnusson, Navy Seal to the bone, meets a woman just as tough when he goes back in time to his Norse
homeland. Along for the ride of their lives are his Seal team buddies who at first are skeptical that they have
landed one thousand years in the past. But before long they fit right in and come to appreciate the women of the
past as well as the coming battle with one bad ancient dude. Torolf sets his sights on one woman, Hilda, who he
knew when he was a lot younger, but time hasn’t helped their relationship: she still looks at him like he crawled
out from under a wrecked humvee.
Hilda, short for Brunhilda Berdottir wants revenge on the man who enslaved her and other countless women. His
acts of violence are so horrendous she fears that nothing will stop Steinolf. But when a band of strange men with
even stranger ideas and a tale of time travel wash up near the Sanctuary, her home for abused women, she soon
discovers Torolf’s goal is hers, if you discount his idea that she become his willing bedmate.
Their common objective, to rid the ancient Norse land of Steinolf brings Torolf and Hilda closer than they ever
dreamed possible; and when the blood of the battle is washed away, they find that they have more in common than a
thirst for revenge. When Torolf, who has to ship out on an op, finally manages to time-travel back to the good
old USA, Hilda is accidentally transported also.
Hilda discovers that life in the future has its advantages with Victoria's Secret, body paint and lessons on
the sexy side with Torolf. He, by the way, is so in lust and love with Hilda he can’t stand the thought of losing
her, so when a scientist plots to abduct the Viking maid believing she is an alien, Torolf and his Seal team go on
high alert.
A Viking tale that should be included on every time-travel fan’s book list!
