Blair’s skill as a paranormal author continues in her latest witch tale. This heroine might have to wait a bit for
her Knight in Shining Armor to de-flower her, but the sexual tension is high and the outcome is well worth the wait.
Victoria Cartwright is in denial. She is not a witch, doesn’t want to be a witch and just because her innocent
and unintentional rhyming produces chaos, it doesn’t mean she has the least big of magic in her fingertips. But when
she garners the courage to open the wardrobe in her room, she finds that her destiny is indeed entwined with spells,
dreams and a powerful hankering for a man with a mighty sword.
Her destined mate isn’t exactly what she would have chosen, but when Rory MacKenzie strolls into her Salem shop in
search of the carousel the wardrobe produces, her body and heart go on red alert. The handsome but extremely cranky
self-admitted hermit gives Vickie a look that sends her into a spin of desire. Against her better judgment, she rents
him a room and hires him as a handyman. A title that is more than apt when Rory gets handy with his lady boss.
Vickie tries out her own brand of seduction, but before their destined date in the bedroom happens, her previously
unheard of triplet sisters arrive unannounced. Their subsequent entry into Victoria’s life is hilarious and poignant.
The four sisters find they have a lot in common as the three younger Cartwright women aid Vickie in her quest to end
her virginal state.
As with everything in life a little rain -or in Vickie and Rory’s case, magic- must fall. After getting up close
and personal, she discovers her tarnished but extremely talented lover plans to take the carousel she believes is her
legacy from a witchy ancestor back to his village in Scotland. Vickie’s heart is trampled and she sends the man of her
dreams packing.
This tale of magic, humor and love is a wonderful read for all who enjoy a book that proves dreams do come true. Of
course a braw Scottish man in a kilt doesn’t hurt either.
