This book is a light trip to hell and back, without any fear or disgust involved. Paige Darlington is a Rivka,
a creature created by Satan to collect condemned souls. Fortunately she's managed to break away from her boss,
and now she's on her own and looking forward to making a life for herself.
Unfortunately, just as she's set out to do this, she discovers that her very touch kills. You see, Paige
wants to redeem her soul, so she tries to have a conversation with an angel, and when she touches him - he
explodes and leaves nothing but ashes behind.
Ut-oh. This is a really bad thing. Because suddenly Paige can't touch anyone. Especially not her friends,
because she is quite truly instant death. You see, Satan had her genetically programmed to become a Wraith. She
will be his ultimate weapon.
Into this mix comes Jed Buchannan. Jed is a Shadow Warrior. He's sold his soul to Satan Jr. and has become an
assassin. When he breaks into the apartment where Paige is staying, he accidently finds Paige instead.
Only when he touches her - he doesn't die. And not only doesn't he die, he's incredibly hot and he makes
Paige want to lose her virginity.
Yes, that's right, Paige is still a virgin. She's also got an incredibly sunny personality and is an optimist.
Hardly seems like the type to become a Wraith.
Jed's as taken with her as she is with him, and together they set out to free her from her inner Wraith, and
hopefully they will also be able to free Jed's brother from Satan Jr., and maybe possibly even save Jed from
eternal damnation.
Oh, and they have just a couple of days to get this all done. Not to rush things at all.
The story is fun, the characters are hysterical. Yes, you will indeed laugh at both Satan and Satan Jr. Evil
incarnate they may be, they are also men really trying to find true love and work out some father / son issues
as they go along.
