Surrender to a Scoundrel

by Julianne MacLean

Lord Martin Langdon has always been known for being a ladies’ man, as no woman can resist him. However, when he hears of the young widow Evelyn Wheaton, whom men claim it is impossible to flirt with, Martin takes it as a challenge; after all, he knows his reputation is true: there has never been a woman he could not have if he wanted her. Although the surprise is on Martin when he first meets Evelyn, when he realizes she is the young girl from his past, one whom he had saved as a young child, although she would never look his way as they grew older.

Evelyn has been enjoying her life as a rich widow. After all, she had spent years as the one girl no one ever noticed, not even her father.  When she meets Martin again, Evelyn is surprised that he remembers her at all, and she is even more surprised when she realizes he wants her for another conquest. Although she may be looking for a husband, there is no way she would ever consider this rogue as a candidate, even if he does send her those looks that could melt her where she stands.

Surrender to a Scoundrel is one book that will captivate readers.  What a perfect way to spend the New Year, with a magnificent rogue and the woman he wants but cannot have.  Ms. MacLean has a way of writing that will have readers falling in love with her characters. This reviewer is one reader who will definitely be saving this book to read again. Splendid Romance.
