The Viscount in the Bedroom
Book III of Sisters of the Willow Pond Trilogy
by Gayle Callen
This is the third and final book in the Sisters of the Willow Pond trilogy, and although it is in some ways a
standalone story, I would recommend reading the other two books first.
Louisa Shelby’s two sisters have both already found happiness. Now it is her turn, although initially this
does not seem likely. The Dowager Viscountess Wade has hired Louisa as a companion, even though the viscountess
apparently does not need one. Maybe it is her grandson who in fact does, as he has recently lost his sight due
to a riding accident?
If you want a change from alpha males and battles of the sexes, try this more tender love story. Simon has to
come to terms with his disability, and Louisa has to find a way to quash the rumors that are spreading about her
past. It is an uplifting story in many ways and reminds me once again how many different types of romance there
are. Rather unfortunately, the sex scenes toward the end of the novel seem to have been slotted in because
they are expected, and don’t add anything to the story except a jarring note. However, as long as that is not
your main reason for reading romance, this tale ought to satisfy for less physical reasons. This is very much
a tale about two people finding happiness, and that is why I enjoyed it. |
