Ms. Palmer wowed me with her first two books in the Feral Warriors Series, also reviewed at Myshelf.com, and she more than held my attention with Paenther’s tale of love in Passion Untamed. All of her heroes have been tortured souls before they meet their soul mates, but Paenther’s story really touched my heart. I can’t wait to see what this fantastic author has planned next.

Paenther has been hurt, abused, and used by those he trusted. Taken prisoner by a witch and tortured before he escaped to become a Feral Warrior, he vowed he would never allow his feelings to influence his actions; but when he meets Skye, he finds he can’t follow his own dictates. The past comes back to haunt him when he finds she is a witch. Skye enchants Paenther with her body in order to capture him so he can be used to destroy his own kind. To make matters worse, Skye is a mage, an enemy to the Feral Warriors, their loved ones and—in time—mankind.

Skye does what she is told. Kidnapped when she was young, before she came fully into her powers, she is used as a pawn to help defeat the Feral Warriors and anyone else who stands in her kidnapper’s way. When she disobeys, she is beaten. She stopped fighting back a long time ago, but something about the warrior Paenther stirs her heart. She finds she must fight to keep him safe—even if it means offering her own life in return for his. The fact that the handsome prisoner despises her for her role in his capture does not stop her from falling in love. She only prays when he kills her he does so before she loses her heart completely.
