The Vampire And The Virgin
Love At Stake Series, No. 8

by Kerrelyn Sparks

Sparks does what she always does best, writes a book that rocks with sensuality and humor, and positively drizzles with hot vampire hunks and the women who love them. The Vampire And The Virgin, her latest offering in the Love At Stake series, is a keeper of a book.† The hero, Robby, has been around since book one and more than deserves his own tale of love. Olivia as the heroine gives as well as she gets when it comes to finding and loving a vampire.

Olivia Sotiris wants peace of mind and distance between herself and the man she helped convict of murder. As an FBI psychologist, her special gift for knowing when someone is lying helps her in her job but lands her in danger when a serial killer targets her. She returns to her grandmotherís home in the Greek Isles in an effort to get her mind together, but a mysterious and sensually handsome visitor turns her inside out. Especially when she realizes she canít tell if heís lying or not about who he is and what he does for a living.

Vampire Robby McKay is on vacation, recovering from an attack that almost killed him.† His temper is at an all time high, and he needs to balance his life and get it together in order to help track the leader of the Malcontents. On a midnight run up and down the beach, he finds a beautiful woman staring at him. His intentions are simple—get to know her better—but even after they meet, the beautiful Olivia maintains an aura of secrecy.† Determined to breach her defenses, he realizes the seductress is a virgin, and his vampire heart is caught in her innocent snare.

Before they can explore a relationship, the serial killer sends a special gift to Olivia, who panics upon realizing he knows where she is hiding. She runs home and then back to work where once again she meets up with Robby. A Robby who is devastated that she left him after they made beautiful love. Olivia finds out he is a vampire, and Robby must work overtime to convince her they are soul mates as well as to keep her safe.
