Basha Argeneau has been on the run and in hiding her whole life. Anything is better than facing her estranged family. Even hiding out in the sweltering heat of southern California, Madam Divine, as she is now known, travels with a carnival as a fortune teller. Traveling around from city to city in her RV, her ability to read people’s minds guides her to help those who come to her for a reading. However, when a dark handsome immortal shows up determined to bring her back to the clan, she will do anything to get away.

Marcus Notte isn’t here to play carnival jockey. He is here to find out if Madam Divine is really Basha Argeneau so that he can take her back to Lucian as requested. But the one big thing that gets in his way is when he realizes he’s experiencing all the signs of meeting his life mate. So how does he explain that to the hot crazy blonde let alone to Lucian? Then to top it all off, someone else seems determined to kill her. Marcus realizes there is more to this woman than meets the eye. Who is after her and why, and, how can he be sure she is really Basha when he can’t seem to read her mind?

Lynsay Sands has added another great story to the Argeneau series. The world she has built for it is interesting and believable. Her immortals are fun and sexy with a hint of action and mystery. I haven’t read one of these books yet that I didn’t enjoy. It is an interesting twist on the vampire story. If you love hot and sexy vampires, mystery and a touch of intrigue mixed in, you’ll love this book and the others in this series.
