Deadly
Perversions
By Brett
Arquette
In this age
of the high speed Internet, a company called Talon has created a
very sophisticated Cybersex software. Log on, wear your 3-D glasses
and immerse yourself in decadence; be anyone you want to be. Cybersex
is touted as the only true safe sex, but be careful. Suddenly there
is a strange malady striking people down, and it kills so quickly
that some are still smiling when they go!
This
first novel by Brett Arquette was edited by his famous mother, Lois
Duncan. The chapters are like a series of short stories, but all
with the theme of Talon's Cybersex software and RAIDS, the virus
that is killing millions.
Arquette
is a master at characterization and imaginative in using cutting
edge technology in his story. The story is partly sci-fi, partly
medical mystery, and all dramatic, humorous and filled with action.
I stayed up very late to read straight through to the shocking end.
