The Treasured One
The Dreamers, No. II
By David & Leigh Eddings

David and Leigh Eddings return with another installment of their fascinating new series, The Dreamers. In the first book, The Elder Gods, the servants of the Vlagh invaded the Eastern domain of the land of Dhrall. The combined armies of Maags, Trogites and the natives of Zelana's domain defeated them, while natural disasters blocked the entry from the wasteland forever. Now, in The Treasured One, the servants of the Vlagh are preparing to invade Zelana's brother's domain. Veltan's domain lies on the south end of the continent of Dhrall. Spies of the Vlagh have already been spotted in several areas.

Ashad, Dahlaine's dreamer, has dreamed of the Vlagh invasion as well as one from the south. He didn't see who the southern invaders were, nor could he tell when the invasions would take place. The gods who rule now will have to join forces to repel the invaders. But can they handle two invading armies at once?

Once again, things are not as they seem. The four gods are still tampering with the weather. But someone is tampering with the minds of men. Whoever this person is, he or she seems to have more power than Dahlaine, Aracia, Veltan and Zelana combined. Just who is this powerful person? It's

The Treasured One is a powerful story of greed out of control. It is also a story of a hunger for power and survival. The action is nonstop, the danger ever-present and the mind-bending forces of nature and gods are strengthened. Though the situation is resolved, the end leaves you hungering for the next installment. Pick up a copy of both volumes and enjoy.
