The Silver Angel
Daradawn Series, No. 3

by Barbara M. Hodges

In this, the third book in the Daradawn Series, we find Delilah returning to Daradawn seven years after leaving. She is returning with her daughter Angel, who, though she is only seven years old, has aged to a full grown woman due to her elven heritage. Angel knows that in order to stop the quickly aging process and save her own life she must stay in Daradawn, a fact that makes her extremely angry, even though she also knows that waiting for her in Daradawn are her royal grandparents, the elven King and Queen of Vilsathor. There is actually even more awaiting Angel, as forces of dark magic will have her making choices that could end all life in Daradawn.

As readers return to the life of the fantasy world Daradawn, they discover that Patrick is up to his same old ways. Only now he has discovered a way of bringing the evil Dirkk back to life. They contemplate a plan to rule Daradawn and making the world a dangerous place once again. This time it will take more than just Regan, Kelsey and their families to stop the evil turmoil that Dirkk and Patrick will cause. All the leaders and the magical animals will fight along with the others to bring Dirkk's evil to an end forever, including the young daughter of Peter and Regan, as her magic seems to be stronger than that of either her mother or father.

From the first page until the last, this reader was captivated once again with the people of Daradawn. As I read the last pages, I was a little saddened by the fact that this series was ending, as I have truly enjoyed the magnificent fantasy tale. Ms. Hodges has done an outstanding job of writing a series that once you start reading you will not be able to stop until you have read all three books. This is a series that will go on the keeper shelf to be enjoyed again.
