Chronicles, Hellhound Ave is now a rogue soulcatcher after killing
her reaper, and she is now on the run with Leo, the grim reaper
himself. But the other reapers aren't necessarily ready to rally
behind this new leader. And Ave has problems of her own. The
ultimate in demonic serial killer has emerged from her past,
and it's the last, possible thing Ava ever hoped to encounter.
Unfortunately this killer doesn't just kill, he creates. And
his creations are spreading across the heartland. Ava may be
the only one who can stop him, if she can face her past. Angels,
demons, reapers and zompires -- what more could a paranormal
fan ask?
I loved the dark humor and gritty attitude of Ava. She's
a terrific, complex character, and having a chance to learn
more about her past was terrific. Plus, the walking man and
the mythology behind him was fascinating. Nothing is simple
in this dark, compelling series, and I've enjoyed both books
so far. Whatever comes next, I'm a fan.
