When Robert Kiyosaki was growing up in Hawaii, he received the advice of two dads, one rich and one poor.  His own father was the poor dad, and the rich one was the father of his best friend, Mike.  Robert lived in a nice house, and his dad had a good salary.  While Mike didn't live in such a fancy home, his dad owned several businesses.  When asked how to become rich, Robert's dad advised the boys to learn to make money.

However, when he caught them making counterfeit nickels from old metal toothpaste tubes, he gently explained that, while their idea was creative, it was also illegal.  But he didn't have any better advice except to study hard and get a good education, so they could get good jobs.  The boys then turned to Mike's dad for help.

Mike's dad did teach them how to be rich, and both have enormous wealth today.  It is what he taught them that Robert Kiyosaki reveals in this book.  Here, he teaches a whole new way of thinking about money, and how to make it work for you, instead of you working for it.  I found this highly enlightening, and plan to follow his advice in as many ways as I can.  I definitely plan to save my dream mansion for the next life!
