Dr. Shapiro's Picture Perfect Weight Loss
The Visual Program for Permanent Weight Loss
By Dr. Howard M. Shapiro

Did you ever wonder what you could eat instead of a bagel with cream cheese or a buttery croissant? This book shows you several pictures of delicious food that you could eat instead of other high-calorie foods. It is not technically a diet book, since it does not prohibit any type of food eaten, but tries to teach and show the reader how to make low-calorie choices.

The book’s beautiful color pictures shock the reader into learning what they could eat instead of some high calorie food, focusing on fruits and vegetables, which could fill up the reader and provide many necessary nutrients and vitamins. Dr. Shapiro uses several case studies to show how different people have been able to use this low-calorie system no matter what their busy schedules have looked like. He also provides several menus from restaurants in his native New York City. The menus can be used as a guide, but really only help the people in the New York City area. He provides limited choices for fast food restaurants, which is unfortunate, because they would have been helpful for readers in other regions.
