The Tao of Star Wars
By John M. Porter, M.D.

The Tao of Star Wars takes an extremely unique look at explaining Taoism, a classic Asian religion. It takes the basic tenets of Taoism and uses classic Star Wars examples to explain them. In the beginning of the book, the tenets are briefly explained while the latter part of the book includes more detailed explanations of the tenets with concrete examples.

The examples that were chosen do a very good job of showing exactly what Dr. Porter is trying to explain with each tenet. The examples range throughout all of the Star Wars movies and it would be extremely helpful for readers to have had watched the Star Wars series to understand the examples that Dr. Porter uses in this book. The writing is easy to follow throughout the book and it takes the reader a short time to read and understand the tenets and Taoism in general.

The Tao of Star Wars is an interesting book that takes a good look into the tenets of Taoism while mixing it with a well-known movie series.
