Thinking for a Change
11 Ways Highly Successful People Approach Life and Work
By John C. Maxwell

Thinking for a Change - you’ll want to horde it, but you can’t help sharing it.

John C. Maxwell’s latest book has everyone thinking. At least that’s what the author is hoping for. Maxwell is sure successful people and unsuccessful people think differently, his reason being that successful people make room on their calendars for a little thinking time. Sound silly? Well, by the time you finish reading the book or listening to the audio book, you will be thinking differently – no pun intended.

The author gives eleven thinking skills to teach us how to think better. His ideas are so down-to-earth that this book/audiobook could be understood by young people heading off to college. One of the reasons I am so impressed by Thinking for a Change is that Maxwell promotes individuality, yet reminds us how important team work is and how stealing the limelight from the team can be more damaging in one’s professional and personal life than realized. His advice ranges from professional, individual to team work, to personal and spiritual.

As he teaches us to think, plan, and act, Maxwell uses professional people and their stories as examples. He reminds us of Priscilla Presley and the near bankruptcy of the Presley estate when she and Ms. Lisa took it over. He also uses movie mogul George Lucas, as well as others. With lessons, advice, stories and quotes, Maxwell shows us how to be better thinkers so we can accomplish more in life. Now, how unselfish can that be? This is why Maxwell has been on the New York bestseller list.

Maxwell is the narrator for the audiobook put out by TimeWarner. The abridged version is a great shortcut to successful thinking. Maxwell’s voice radiates his belief in his ideas and in you, the listener. Thinking for a Change is a must for anyone wanting to go anywhere in life.
