Bootcamp360 For Brides
The few, the proud, the fit.

By Tamara Kleinberg

At some point during their engagement, most brides begin to think of ways to lose weight and get toned up before the big day. For many women it's hard to know where to start. If you're one of those women-bride or not-who wants to get in shape, this is the book for you.

Kleinberg plays the role of drill sargeant and the reader is the recruit. This book is packed full of real stories and advice from brides who have been there and worked hard to achieve great results. There are easy-to-follow descriptions and photos of exercises that work to tone the whole body, with special emphasis on problem areas that get exposure during the big day: upper arms, back, tummy, and butt. To make it even easier on you, Kleinberg has provided charts in the back that can be photocopied and filled out so you can track your own progress and motivate yourself to keep going. She has even included a recipe section to help you create a healthy lifestyle of nutrition and exercise.

Aside from a few pieces of inexpensive exercise equipment to help you perform the exercises described, this book has everything you need to help you look your best on your wedding day, and every day after that!

As a bride-to-be myself, I found Kleinberg's approach very accessible and well-rounded. Unlike crash diets, Kleinberg wants brides to take a healthy approach to weight loss and to make realistic goals. She says that the best results happen after 6 months of beginning the program, and that maintaining a healthy lifestyle after the wedding is important, too. (However, if you have less than six months until your wedding, she allows for you to start the program at whatever point of planning you're in). Definitely check this book out if you feel your body could use some improvement.
