The Diet Code
Revolutionary Weight Loss Secrets from Da Vinci and the Golden
Ratio
by Stephen Lanzalotta
Yet another weight loss book in the market. What makes The Diet Code different
from a lot of other diet books is that Mr. Lanzalotta emphasizes that in order to lose
weight and keep it off, followers need to be ready to make long lasting lifestyle changes,
not just temporary eating changes. A strong point to make in the day of people wanting to
lose weight, to do it quickly, and not think about the long term effects. Mr. Lanzalotta
also emphasizes that it is proper to lose 1-2 pounds a week even though he does include a
quick detox type of meal plan that people can use for about a month.
The Diet Code is based on Leonardo Da Vinci's time period and the Mediterranean Diet
where fresh food is key. Mr. Lanzalotta, a baker in Maine, uses the Golden Ratio in order
to come up with his meal plan menus. The Diet Code explains in simple details what
the Golden Ratio is and how the meal plans were developed. The foods that are emphasized
are mostly fresh, some dried fruits, and are organic. Simply put, the reader is asked to
think what would Da Vinci eat and follow it.
The Diet Code does not include an exercise plan other than to do what you like
and to make sure you do it for about 6 hours a week. It's simple to follow. The Diet Code
does include several recipes and menus. Most of the recipes seem easy to prepare and with
ingredients that most people should be able to find. Some of the ingredients could get
costly, especially if organic food is involved. |
