The Diet Code
Revolutionary Weight Loss Secrets from Da Vinci and the Golden Ratio
by Stephen Lanzalotta
Read by Stephen Lanzalotta
Lanzalotta has done much with his life, but it's a diet plan, based on the principles of
the Golden Ratio (Leonardo Da Vinci), that he's the most proud of. Lanzalotta claims it
makes one lose weight and keep it off. He also says it's a healthier diet, compared to
most.
The author goes through his life and tells how he came to open a bakery in Maine. He
relays how he learned the bread baking business and used the Golden Ratio to build it up,
even in the planning of his bakery, Sophia. He tells how those he knows, including his
son, became thinner and healthier through his diet. And he notes that his son was less
ill afterwards, compared to years before. While bread may be the staple of Lazalotta's
diet, it also includes traditional Mediterranean foods: vegetables, meat, nuts, wine,
fish, and surprisingly, cheese. Although the author does push bread and wine, he promotes
changing one's eating habits to actually lose weight. Listeners will be tempted by the
various recipes, which aren't limited to vegans or meat eaters. The audio book is great,
but I also recommend a book version for the kitchen shelf.
Lanzalatta narrates the audio version. His reading is mild in tone, but strong in
conviction. Listening to this audio book had me running to my favorite Bistro for some
of those fabulous breads. Pass this one on to your best of friends. |
