Soul Sweat
A High-Energy Cardiogroove Workout

      Get ready, get set, sweat!!! Move your body to an exciting new workout that is assured to shed the pounds in a quick and enjoyable way. Chantal Pierrat’s Soul Sweat is an exciting experience that provides a high intensity workout.

In the beginning Pierrat encourages participants to relax and have fun with this DVD. She further emphasizes that there is no right or wrong way in which to do each move. What is very encouraging is that she said this DVD was for all levels of fitness and dance knowledge.

I found this video to be one of the most rewarding experiences I have encountered in a very long time. It was enlightening to learn that the dancers in this video were not professionals. That provided major encouragement, anyone could be successful with this type of exercise program.

Pierrat gives very slow and detailed steps that explain each one of the twenty six moves used throughout the different dance sequences. Once the viewer is comfortable enough with the move, they then can go on to the next, until they have mastered each one. Once they feel they are ready to move on to the next section, they find it is a combo section. This is where the video gets very user friendly, for it gives a series of mini combos that can build up anyone’s courage to go on to the next step.

There are two routines on this DVD, the main routine is called Deep Sweat and consists of 46 minutes that feature a wide variety of dances, composed of the 26 movements that were learned in the beginning. Each one is expertly choreographed to some of the best new age music I have ever heard. I found this section provided me an outstanding core workout that targeted my abdominal area. In no time at all, I found I was swaying my arms and moving my legs in tune to the tempo of the music of such greats as One at Last, Shamans Dream, and Vargo.

For people who might not have 46 minutes to spare, they may select the second offering, a 30 minute workout called Quick Sweat. It is a mini combination of the Deep Sweat section and you will be rewarded with all the riveting energy that was created in Deep Sweat. I found this mini version was just as effective as the longer version and I plan to make it one of my wake me up routines.

Following both routines, there is a relaxation section entitled Stretch. It utilizes basic yoga poses that help relax the body. This is the perfect way to help release all of the pent up energy that was created during your workout routine. I found by performing this section, my body was able to cool down in a safe manner.

Soul Sweat is a highly engaging workout video that delivers maximum results. It provides a fun and healthy way to get in tune with your body. Who would have thought something so fun, could be so beneficial? I recommend that everyone give it a try, for it is something that anyone can accomplish. Very highly recommended.
